Polarization of radiation of particles scattered under grazing angles from metal surfaces with submonolayer oxygen coverage

摘要
The H+ and Ar+ ion scattering from Ni(1 0 0) surface with submonolayer oxygen adsorption coverage under grazing ion bombardment has been investigated by computer simulation. Experimentally observed drastic decrease of cyclic polarization degree of optical radiation of particles scattered under glancing angles from adsorption covered surface was explained. It was shown that, the cyclic polarization degree of optical radiation of particles scattered by adsorption covered surface depends on the angle of incidence and initial energy of incident ions.
