摘要
An alleged attempted coup in 2014 e amidst a shifting majority and suspension of parliament to forestall a parliamentary change of power e triggered the unscheduled 2015 elections in Lesotho. In a rotational act the elections were won by a new coalition comprising largely incumbents from two preceding governments. The balloting in this fast-forwarded election might have resolved Lesotho's lingering instability but for the persistent absence of an outright electoral majority and reliance on micro parties that relish their status of being kingmakers and manufacturers of parliamentary majorities. © 2015 Elsevier Ltd.
