Evaluation of performance of teachers on a probation stage: analysis of the current model in a federal institution of higher education

摘要
This research sought to investigate the contribution of the system of special teaching evaluation performance adopted by the Federal Institute of Sertao Pernambucano for the professional development of its professors and its People Management practices and policies. The data demonstrated that the system is obsolete and does not meet the theoretical and methodological guidelines for its effectiveness. The data revealed that there is no alignment between the activities of the annual training plan and the results of evaluations, and that there are no practices that encourage the use of policies related to evaluation feedback, demonstrating that it has little or no reflection in other practices of People Management. Without the intention of exhausting the reflections related to the theme, this work revalidates the importance of the workers who is part of the functional body from the Federal Institutions of Higher Education, evidencing the need to promote their professional development and the role of the management area in this process.
