LINKS BETWEEN RESEARCH AND EDUCATION IN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE PROJECTS

摘要
This essay presents the aims and the results of an international applied linguistics project and a literature research project and establishes links between the field of Research and Education. First, I am going to present an applied linguistics project. The present study focusing on the link between research and education is based on the Comenius project entitled, "Primary and secondary continuity in the language learning and teaching". In this project certain aspects of language learning and teaching practice will be introduced first. Participants from different countries collect, compare, discuss and systematize their experience. The aim of the observations is to report the analysis of the methodological and thematic differences between language teaching at secondary and primary school. The problem is the gap between the two levels. The participants elaborated and developed bridging tasks which will be tried out in many schools. The results will be available on the project website, and teachers can use them and provide feedback. The second project I would like to touch upon is an international literature research project. Researchers from more than 30 countries from all over the world (primarily from Europe) participated in the research - initiated by Prof. Hans-Heino Ewers from the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt. The research topic was: The representation of World War II in literature for adults, children and young adults. First, the research aspects were uploaded by the initiator to the website. The researchers worked on their papers individually in their countries. Finally they presented their results at a world conference at Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt. The Peter Lang Editor published the results of the researches which can be used by researchers, teachers and students in their essays. The participants of the two projects worked with different research methods and made different steps but in the both projects is realised the content between Education and Research.
