Optimization of Injection Molding Process Parameters for Ultrafine-Grained WC-6Co Cemented Carbide

摘要
The influence of pivotal injection molding process parameters including injection temperature, injection and holding pressure, and injection speed on the density and strength of the as-molded ultrafine-grained WC-6Co cemented carbide specimens has been studied by orthogonal experimental design and statistical analysis. It displays that the density is significantly influenced by injection temperature's interaction with injection pressure, holding pressure and injection speed, while the strength is impacted by the injection speed and the interaction of injection temperature with holding pressure and injection pressure. As following the injection parameters of injection temperature 100 degrees C, injection pressure 60 MPa, injection speed 40% and holding pressure 20 MPa, the stepped-cylindrical-bar specimen is of the best quality.
