摘要
This reflective section addresses the concepts of text and discourse adopted in the teaching of Portuguese. The objective is to encourage the use of the spoken and written language by those responsible for language in schools and other institutions that deal with the text. The approach also questions the experience inside the classroom, a mother tongue class, still largely based on standardization. In this regard, the text discusses the teaching offered in Basic Education, as well as the process of teacher training in universities. In his argumentative development, there is also a small analysis of the poem "As Realidades" by the French poet Louis Aragon (1924). The procedure chosen was that of bibliographic research, with an emphasis on the reflections of Benveniste (2006), Barthes (1982), Bagno (2005), Soares (2006), among others.
