摘要
A numerical procedure for Thermal Stress Intensity Factor (TSIF) assessment of an edge crack in a strip made of Functionally Graded Material (FGM) subjected to thermal cooling process is elaborated. In order to perform it, user-defined subroutines in ABAQUS code are created. The analyzed ZrO2+Ti6AlV (zirconia + titanium alloy) material in the form of FGM could be applied as Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) of cylinder liners as well as of aircraft jet engine blades and it is subjected to extremely quick temperature changes during the operation of the engine. Therefore, the estimation of the TSIF to determine fracture process in the ZrO2+Ti6AlV material is important for the structural element design, for their thermal protection, and for the safety of aircraft passengers.
