摘要
The paper considers a new method for melting ice on overhead lines by using an ice-melting device consisting of two three-phase reactive power sources connected to the ends of the ice-covered section. One of the reactive power sources is a consumer of reactive energy, while the other is a generator of reactive energy. The method makes it possible to melt ice on an overhead line without disconnecting the line and consumers. The paper gives results of calculations which confirm the efficiency of the method.
