Second International Workshop on the Model-Based Design of Trustworthy Health Information Systems MOTHIS 2008

The objective of the MOTHIS workshop was to discuss model-based methods for the design of Health Information Systems (HIS) with a focus on trustworthiness, security and availability. While quality and affordability of health care delivery represents a major societal challenge in the 21st century the current situation in health care is still dominated by paper records and fragmented, error-prone approaches to service delivery. The workshop brought together computer scientists and medical experts to discuss research results in the development and application of model-based methods for representing, analyzing and integrating, architectures, privacy and security policies, computer security mechanisms, and human factors engineering.
