摘要
This paper deals with numerical modeling of industrial induction heating of paramagnetic billets for hot forming applications using ANSYS Multiphysics. Its solution is solved numerically in the quasi-coupled formulation respecting all important nonlinearities. The computations are carried out in ANSYS APDL code, based on finite element method. Results were verified experimentally on an industrial inductive installation ITP2 3k150. The goal of numerical modeling was to investigate the thermal dynamic characteristic generated by the through-heater system, in order to have an uniform temperature distribution of heated material for hot forming. Obtained results of the numerical simulation were plotted along with the results from the experimental validation.
