摘要
This paper presents the results of the first stage of a Master dissertation at UFRGS' Communication and Information Post-graduation Program - PPGCI. Reflects about the tendencies of the themes in the Science Information field (SCI), stressed in the research areas at the Post-graduation Programs. The themes are categorized through the analysis of the dissertations' titles and by the program area summaries the Programs recognized by the Coordenacao de Aperfeicoamento de Pessoal de Nivel Superior - CAPES in 2007. The methodology applied is the content analysis and the results have showed that the SCI Post-Graduation presents three thematic areas: Information management, organization, and transference. In general, the organization of these areas seems to fit the investigative trends of research within the SCI systemic perspective, and close to the Social Information Paradigm approach. Interfaces among Information Science and Administration, Communication, Computer Science and Sociology were identified. It was also seen that SCI is linked to the traditional subjects such as the Information Science and Documentation.
