Synthesis of linear and planar antenna arrays using genetic algorithms

摘要：
In this article two particular methods for the synthesis of the complex radiation pattern da linear and planar array based on Genetic Algorithms are discussed. First vie present a combination of Schelkunoff's method and GAs for linear arrays with arbitrary radiation patterns, then we consider the synthesis of planar arrays with rectangular cells conjointly with a penalty method in order to improve the results. There is good agrement between the desired and calculated radiation patterns.
