摘要
Throughout the Restoration there was a slow decline in the homicide rate in Spain, although the it remained higher than in other European countries. The deaths happened chiefly among men from the working class that fought because of prestige, and they were not threatening to the State or the ruling classes. At the end of this period, deaths due to labour conflicts, although relatively scarce, were more threatening since they expressed a conflict about the way society should be ordered, and held a greater potential for disruption.
