Evaluation of factors of senior fragility of the clients of third age at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacky University, Olomouc

The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors of seniors fragility, such as muscle strength, bone density and body composition parameters of the clients of the University of the Third Age, Faculty of Physical Culture in Palacky University. Statistically significant correlations were found between age and muscle in both hands. Moderate positive correlation was found between the force of right and left hand and the quantity of muscle mass, then the amount of cell mass and the amount of bone minerals. Moderately strong correlation was found between the measured values in local areas (right, left forearm and right, left calcaneus) and the amount of muscle mass, the amount of cell mass and the size of the basal metabolic rate. For the right calcaneus was then found a statistically significant relationship between bone density and the amount of body fat and the amount of visceral fat.
