摘要
A green pigment producing bacterium strain was screened and isolated from oil contaminated soil. The isolated strain produced extracellular blue pigment on nutrient agar medium. Maximum pigment production was observed at 370(circle)C and pH 7 after 48 hrs under stationary condition. Blue color was extracted with chloroform and was analyzed by UV spectrophotometer. The isolated strain produced extracellular enzymes and phytochemicals. Fractionation of the crude pigment was performed by TLC. Structural study of the extracted pigment was done by FTIR and NMR spectroscopy. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
