摘要
The sectorial structure of the national economy represents the segmentation of the economy according to the character of final results of activities of the individual organizations and enterprises. Economic growth and development of regions are connected with structural changes which mean transfer of the center of working activities from one sector to another. We can observe worldwide reduction in the share of primary sector and dynamic development of secondary and tertiary sectors. The sectorial structure of regions is also associated with the growth of the country productivity. The objective is to evaluate changes in development of employment according to sectorial structure of regions of Slovakia focusing on agriculture, industry and public administration. The development of labor, farce and employment in regions of Slovakia is evaluated using quantitative methods according to sectorial structure. Based on the results, there is a decrease in employment in the primary sector in all regions of Slovakia and, on the contrary, the share of employed people in industry is increasing. This is the result of actual economic trend in Slovakia, which has been focusing on the automobile industry in recent years. In analyzed period regional employment in public administration was without any significant changes.
