摘要
Background: DSM-5 and ICD-11 recommend the use of standardized and normed neuropsychological or cognitive tests to diagnose neurocognitive disorders. CAMCOG-R is a mini neuropsychological test widely used. This study re-examines the reported relationships of CAMCOG-R with age, education and additional socio-demographic and clinical variables and determines age -and education -related values for the Hebrew version of CAMCOG-R in a cognitively intact clinical sample.Method: Participants underwent a multi-disciplinary evaluation. The study sample included participants without dementia or mild cognitive impairment, based on meticulous clinical evaluation and neuropsychological assessmentResults: CAMCOG-R total scores were normally distributed among 94 participants. Mean CAMCOG-R score was 90.77 (SD 5.47) range 80-103. Moderate and very significant correlations were found with age and education. Comparing CAMCOG-R scores in two subdivisions of the socio-demographic and health variables, only age and education were significantly different. Stepwise regression analyses indicated that there was a collective significant effect between education, age and CAMCOG-R, which explains 35% of the variance of CAMCOG-R. The individual predictors indicated that education and age were moderate and significant predictors in the model. Combined values for age groups and education levels were calculated for a range of percentiles and z-scores.Conclusions: Even though this sample is not representative of the elderly population in Israel, some of the CAMCOG-R values revealed are consistent with previous studies, that used different methods and might be applicable in specialized settings to assist in the diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders in the elderly.
