摘要
Structuring effect of carbon nanotubes (CNT) arrays, processed with BaO and irradiated with nanosecond laser pulses was demonstrated. CNT arrays were synthesized by catalytic plasma-induced deposition from a gas phase on a silicon substrate. Effects of CNTs alignment, singling, splicing of nanotubes in a single structure were demonstrated. CNTs processing with BaO, laser and complex structuring were carried out. Chemical structuring of CNT arrays was performed by coating samples with 0.03 mg/ml aqueous Ba(NO3)(2) solution. Laser structuring of CNTs at a given area using impulse nanosecond Nd-YAG laser with radiation power 0.7 W, energy density 3.8 J/cm(2) is obtained. Raman spectroscopy was performed in order to show the small amount of defected nanotubes after laser irradiation. Electron emission of processed arrays was investigated. Application area of such materials includes: creating CNT-based biosensors, x-ray tubes for biomedical use, cathodes for electron emission, topological elements for medical devices.
