Different aspects of child abuse are reviewed. Issues include changes in the prevalence of child abuse throughout the years, characteristics of the perpetrators, physical findings, impact of the medical examination on the legal system, accuracy of children's report, attribution of responsibility by external observers, and child abuse as a predictor of psychopathology.
