摘要
Hardware security becomes a major concern for the development of future IoT devices. In this paper, we propose to investigate traffic monitoring for a low-cost real-time anomaly detection for IoT. This solution relies on the characterization of the wired communication traffic occurring at the interface of the IoT devices, to detect potential attacks and abnormal behaviour by an intrusive solution. A specific hardware architecture is presented and evaluated in an experimental study, showing the effectiveness of the traffic modeling and the detection against two types of hardware attacks performed on the I2C bus.
