摘要
Hammer is an ancient sport. The score has been improved from 33.63 meters, which is created by the Irish winner Mikilou in sports meeting organized by London sports club in 1886, to 86.74 meters, the male hammer world record achieved by Soviet Union's Yuriy Sedykh in 1986. From performance perspective, we had already been a qualitative leap forward. However, the hammer performance so far has not been well improved since 1986. It is hard for hammer athletes from all over the world to break the 85 meters mark. The hammer atheletes in China had never exceeded 75 meters. Then the questions about what restricts the hammer results improvement and what the main factors that affect the results are have got researchers' attention. By referring to a large number of books and network information and watching videos and pictures of the hammer athletes at home and abroad, we can identify the main factors that can improve hammer throwers' performance and put forward the theory suggestions, which could be used for providing the theoretical basis for future training and competition.
