摘要：
According to the Civil Code currently in force, the main testamentary provision benefits from an adequate definition, which succeeds, among other things, to delimit legacy from will. Yet, when it comes to the legacy by universal title, the Civil Code no longer provides flawless regulations, as it contains a contradiction among its texts. Consequently, the present work aims to analyze the notion of legacy and the issues related to the legacy by universal title, so as to point out the aspects which can be subject to criticism.
