摘要
In this study, we present proposed method to find the optimal placement of distribution STATIC compensators (D-STATCOM) in distribution networks to reduce the total power losses and the voltage profile improvement. JAYA algorithm is proposed to solve the problem. The backward/ forward sweep (BFS) method is used for the calculations of load flow. The proposed algorithm is tested on 33-bus and 69-bus distribution networks and the obtained results are compared with other recent techniques in the literature. The comparative studies show the capability of D-STATCOM for the distribution networks enhancement.
