Meson production in nucleon-nucleon collisions near threshold

摘要：
The study of meson production in nucleon-nucleon collisions has regained in interest over recent years. One reason is that, for the first time, high quality data are now available for practically all relevant reaction channels. This contribution reviews this experimental progress, focussing on pion and eta production in proton-nucleon interactions.
