摘要
Aluminium and its alloy are getting more and more attention due to their light weight, high strength and improved corrosion behaviour in comparison with other usual materials used in transport industry. The aim of this work is to study the influence of voltage on hard anodizing process (in H2SO4 and 1 g/L Al-2(SO4)(3) center dot 18H(2)O bath) of 1050 aluminium alloy (1050AA) surface, the oxide morphology and resulting corrosion properties. Comparative electrochemical behaviour of untreated and anodized surface at different voltages was investigated using electrochemical methods such as open circuit potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. SEM was used to observe the morphology of untreated and modified surfaces of the oxide films. It was found that the electrochemical and SEM results are in good agreement and anodizing voltage affect the morphology and corrosion resistance of oxide layer.
