Study on the condensation of 2-amino-5-substitutent-1,3,4-thiadiazole with 2-chloro-1-(2, 4-dichlorophenyl) ethanone

摘要
A series of the tide compounds 2-alkyl/aryl-6-(2',4-dichlorophenyl)imidazo[2,1-b]-1, 3,4-thiadiazoles were prepared by the condensation of 2-amino-5-alkyl/aryl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles with 2-chloro-1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-ethone in the presence of hot ethanol in one step. Their structures were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and MS. The X-ray crystallography analysis of the compound 5g indicates that the aryl group is at the 6-position in the imidazo[2,1-b]-1, 3,4-thiadiazoles rather than at the 5-position of the isomer 6.
