Domestic hot water consumption by developing communities in South African traditional houses

Hot water consumption in traditional houses in the developing communities of Johannesburg is determined by means of measurements over a period of one year. The consumption per person per day is presented for the different months of a year. Also, hourly hot water consumption per person per day is presented as a function of summer weekdays, summer weekends, winter weekdays and winter weekends. Results of hot water consumption of the developing communities are also compared to consumptions in the developed communities. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
