Education Philosophy and Media Model Based on Heterogeneity Culture in North Sumatera Indonesia

摘要
Research on local knowledge of various heterogeneity culture is very important. This is because the value of culture is an inspiration to national education goals. Culture-based curriculum is highly relevant applied in our national education system. From the philosophical, cultural-based curriculum in accordance with the nature of the educational process to humanise learners. Culture-based curriculum design curriculum design can be used as an alternative, to further accelerate the realization of a dignified society. This study was conducted using a model research and development and the experimental method. Model Research and Development in the first year is the basis for developing a product that will be generated through the 5 steps of 10 measures to be implemented, namely data collection, planning, model development early, early trials, the revised model of phase II. The results showed that over 70% of all respondents agree that local cultural values are integrated into the existing model of learning in primary and secondary schools. District and Municipality which is used in this population is a Medan, Deli Serdang, Langkat, and North Tapanuli representing the five ethnic Batak, Javanese, Malay, Chinese and Minang.
