摘要
P20 tool steel is low carbon tool steel which produces molds, punches and dies. This requires being cut for intricate shapes and profiles that can be done with Wire Electro Discharge Machine (WEDM), which is a non-contact process and can produce intricate shapes more precisely. As the tool steel is more hard, tough and wear resistive, so, attempts are made to machine it using WEDM with Pulse-on-time (Ton), Pulse-off-time (Toff) and Servo voltage (Sv) to study the kerf width (KW) and the material removal rate (MRR). This paper optimizes the results for obtaining maximum MRR with minimum KW using Grey relational theory.
