Economic Advantages by CAD/CAM Use in Compound with Production Data Organization

Current developments concerning the manufacturing industry cause also new and additional requirements for the use of CAD/CAM systems. It is represented that beside the technological further development especially the virtualization of the planning processes has significant influence. Furthermore the local technical consideration of the CAD/CAM process is not sufficient. The general organization in the factory has to be considered. The integrated consideration of the physical specification of the production means with the organization of the production resources ensures a long-term economic success for the CAD/CAM use. To realize this target the possibilities and advantages are described in this article.
