摘要
The objective of this work was the modification of the structure of the organic pigment Red Sintesol BLS (CI Pigment Red 48:2) through treatment with aluminium sulphate and zinc chloride, and the polypropylene colouring with the resultant pigments. The morphological modification of the synthesized pigment was highlighted by SEM analysis and polarizing microscopy. The structure of the studied pigments was confirmed using infrared (Far IR) spectroscopy and EDX analysis. Chromatic modifications assessed from the colour strengths, colour differences (highlighted by Delta E*, Delta L*, Delta C* and chromatic parameters Delta a*, Delta b*) and light fastness (normal and UV light respectively) that appear by polypropylene samples colouring with synthetic pigments were also rendered evident.
