摘要
The 65th annual meeting of the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) was held in Baltimore, Maryland, with over 7,500 attendees and over 200 companies represented. The 5-day event covered 3,258 abstracts with 290 plenary/platform and 2,800 poster sessions, making it one of the largest meetings in the human genetics field. Covering the latest discoveries in human genomics, the topics ranged from new sequencing technologies and precision medicine to new disease biomarkers. Rapid advances in genomic technology have produced a large amount of genomics data that has led to a flurry of activity among geneticists. This report covers some of the presentations given at the meeting, including those on new genes for diagnosis, treatment customization according to patient's genome and national level sequencing initiatives.
