The paper studies the hot and puzzle issue in current college teaching reform based on project teaching method, focusing on overall reform of undergraduate course of mechanical manufacturing major, and aiming to reform the talent cultivation mode of mechanical manufacturing method. The primary thought of project teaching reform is to combine knowledge, capability and skill with teaching project. Through the direct participation of student into entire process, the changes that students, projects and practical situations are all considered as the pivots can be realized. Moreover, project teaching method is beneficial to promote learning interest, class efficiency and the ability of analyzing and solving problems. In addition, the desired research results are significant to improve the educational effect of undergraduate specialized course, educational quality, and the innovation of talent cultivation mode.
