The aim of the author is to share his reflections on supervision as a central topic in therapists' education and training programs. The concept of supervision, its functions and effects on the training process along with the contributions of different theoretical models to its evolution are addressed. Supervision alliance, the roles of supervisor and supervisee, evaluation as a central component and the influence of socioeconomic factors are discussed. The conclusions depict the most interesting paths for development in the near future and the areas where research needs to be further conducted along with the subjects most worthy of efforts in the supervision field. L'obiettivo dell'autore e quello di condividere le sue riflessioni in materia di supervisione come un tema centrale dell'istruzione del terapeuta e dei programmi di formazione. Vengono affrontati il concetto di supervisione, le sue funzioni e gli effetti sul processo di formazione insieme ai contributi di differenti modelli teorici al suo sviluppo. Vengono discussi l'alleanza nella supervisione, i ruoli di supervisore e supervisionato, la valutazione come componente centrale e l'influenza dei fattori socio-economici. Le conclusioni illustrano le prospettive piU interessanti per lo sviluppo nel prossimo futuro e le aree in cui la ricerca ha bisogno di essere ulteriormente sviluppata con i soggetti piU degni di impegno nel campo della supervisione. Zusammenfassung Das Ziel des Autors ist es, seine uberlegungen zur Supervision als ein zentrales Thema in der Therapeutenausbildung und in Trainingprogrammen zu teilen. Das Konzept der Supervision, seine Funktionen und Effekte auf den Trainingsprozess, zusammen mit den Beitragen verschiedener theoretischer Modelle zu seiner Entwicklung, werden behandelt. Die Supervisionsallianz, die Rolle des Supervisors und des Supervidierten, die Evaluation als eine zentrale Komponente und der Einfluss soziookonomischer Faktoren werden diskutiert. Die Schlussfolgerungen schildern die interessantesten Entwicklungsmoglichkeiten der nahen Zukunft und die Bereiche, in denen weitere Forschung durchgefuhrt werden sollte sowie die untersuchungswertesten Themen im Supervisionsbereich.
