摘要
Although caught in the turmoil of the recent crises, we need to stay focused on the upcoming euro adoption and its implications for Romania. The completion of the convergence criteria implies, among others, the convergence of prices. This study analyzes the price convergence in EU27 through a spatial econometric approach, emphasizing the Romanian situation and the expected price behaviour in the future years, as an important component for monetary policy, investment decisions, uncertainty and risk management. The spatial analysis is expected to reveal spatial dependences in the European Union, offering support for decision making at both political and private level.
