摘要：
In this paper, we analyze the effect of media coverage on EPA pesticide decisions. We hypothesize that media coverage influences the distribution of opinions in the general public and that EPA decision makers respond to these opinions. We develop a revealed preference model that includes media coverage and public opinion. We test the model by extending the analysis of Cropper et al. (1992) to include media coverage. We find that the media coverage of pesticides has a non-linear effect on EPA pesticide decisions.
