摘要
The fire risk analysis module of the fire risk evaluation system was developed under the consolidated study organized among Mitsui Marine & Insurance Co. Ltd. (i.e., Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd.), Interisk Corp. (i.e., InterRisk Research Institute & Consulting, Inc.) and Toshiba Corp. from 1999 to 2001. This joint study developed the software for the decision-making in the field of the insurance and fire risk management The fire risk analysis module (i.e., RISK) adopts the probabilistic approach to evaluate the fire risk of the building together with the fire analysis module (i.e., FIRE), which was also developed under the joint study. The RISK utilizes the methodology developed by the Tokyo Fire Department which evaluates the fire risk of the specific fire scenario of the building. However, this methodology was modified and enhanced in the RISK to enable the assessment of the overall fire risk of the building considering the various sorts of possible fire scenarios.
