The course of non-traditional machining is one of specialty courses with high-tech, which is essential to students for machine design, manufacture and automation specialty and mould design and manufacture specialty. Based on some current problems existing in traditional teaching of non-traditional machining including single teaching mode, insufficient teaching time and weak experiment link etc., the innovations for the teaching method and the teaching mode were carried out. A kind of new multiple teaching mode integrating many kinds of teaching modes such as project example orientation teaching, dialectical comparison teaching, multimedia teaching, network teaching, classification of lectures teaching, discussion-style class teaching, field teaching and so on was put forward in teaching of non-traditional machining, which is some beneficial exploration to motivate students' learning enthusiasm and subjective initiative and enhance their understanding of basic theoretical knowledge and the frontier technology.
