摘要
In this article the sea surface waves velocity measurements by Doppler X-band radar are considered. Data for the research was obtained in the coastal zone of the Black sea. The solution of the problem relating to the complex character of the backscattering signal includes a discussion of the influencing factors, such as: wind, currents that are induced by the bottom irregularities and orbital wave motions. The method of registration of the wave radial velocities and directions consists in the analysis of the received signal's frequency spectrum. Graphs illustrating the radial velocity of the wind component and radial velocities of the surface currents in the area of interest are presented together and apart.
