Wen-Hua Sun explains how he feels honored to serve as a guest editor for the special issue of Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics on ?Continuing Innovation in Polyolefin Catalysis and Materials, dedicated to Prof. Minoru Terano on the occasion of his 60th birthday.? From an academic viewpoint, to elevate the profits of the polyolefin industry, effective catalytic systems are forever in demand; moreover, the development of new catalytic systems is eagerly sought for value-added polyolefins in such a highly competitive industry. Moreover, late-transition-metal complexes are promising for industrial processes producing novel advanced polyolefin materials,[5] while computation simulation is promising for the design and prediction of effective catalysts, along with the production of advanced polyolefi ns. Furthermore, new techniques have been developed for the measurement of microstructures of polyoelfins.
