An account is given on the reconfiguration and rearticulation of existing media in CD-ROM art. For purposes of demonstration, a number of examples from Contact Zones: The art of CD-ROM are presented. This impressive exhibition, is itself a landmark in the CD-ROM's emergence as an art form.
