摘要
Requirements specification in requirements engineering phase of SDLC has a great influence on the overall development of a software project. There is a huge amount of knowledge created and communicated during the entire process that needs to be managed in a structured manner incorporating both explicit and tacit knowledge. There is a lot of difficulty in documenting the tacit knowledge and consequently misunderstood or ambiguous stakeholder needs have aroused the researchers to devise techniques and models to minimize these difficulties. Due to the complexity of new arising systems, it has become difficult to understand the needs of stakeholders properly even with using the traditional models. Therefore, there is still not a widely accepted solution to all the problems faced in managing requirements. This paper presents a review and a state-of-the-art of previous approaches to managing knowledge in requirements engineering and also proposes a need for a better generic model.
