摘要
The paper gives results on the development of an acid zinc-cobalt (Zn-Co) system, containing less than 1 wt% cobalt, using a conventional chloride based electrolyte. Cobalt content in the electrodeposited alloy is found to depend on cobalt concentration in the solution; operating current density, pH and bath temperature. An improvement in throwing power and a decrease in current efficiency was observed for the alloy plating system Corrosion resistance of the alloy is found to be more than three times compared to zinc deposits in 5% sodium chloride solution.
