摘要：

In order to dissociate themselves from the more traditional patriotic poetry of August 1914, avant-garde trench poets in the First World War had to 'authenticate' their war experience. One of the strategies which they employed was to focus on the transformed experience of time in the trenches. The article studies some of the innovative techniques of the depiction of time in German poetry of the First World War, and analyzes the close link between historical, social, and interior time.
