摘要
In the article, the author views the problem of supersession of the convention of aesthetic space in the convention spaces of interaction in contemporary musical stage productions. The dominating trend of today's musical shows is that the classical principle, according to which all the expressive means of a performance - the plot, the visual setting and the action - should correspond with the music, is ceasing to be implemented. This principle is being substituted by another one that may be called a counterpoint of meanings. This new trend is starting to penetrate even into interpretations of the best known classical opera and ballet masterpieces, when a totally new plot is created to the author's original music - and, it expresses itself even more evidently in new theatrical and other musical productions that break with the customary demarcation of genres. (Conventionally, this new phenomenon may be defined as a new type of a musical theater.) The main peculiarity of this "mixture of genres" is that it is not the composer's original music that determines the dramatic composition of a show. The performance is being structured on a conflict between the music, the words, the actions and the visual setting. Instead of the author's leading voice, a polyphony of collaborators' voices and a counterpoint of meanings come into being.
