A hybrid numerical method of solving the diffraction problem for a guided mode of a dielectric waveguide

摘要：

An efficient numerical method is proposed for solving diffraction problems for guided modes (GMs) supported by planar dielectric waveguide. The method is applied to analyze scattering of a TE mode from a metal diaphragm. The reflection and transmission coefficients and the far- and near-zone fields are calculated.
