摘要
This paper describes a new technique of loop control schemes for a novel magnetic actuator recloser utilizing single-pole and three-pole operation. The technique uses detection of loss of voltage due to a fault on the distribution system and restoration voltage after the fault is recognized dependent upon the voltage transformer configuration and the operating mode of the control device. The control device is tuned by a set of algorithms to implement the loop control scheme to provide automatic control operations of a magnetic actuator recloser to remove the faulted section and restore the unfaulted section of the distribution system. This new control device was investigated for a variety of operating schemes and configurations. The results indicate that the proposed technique is able to provide protection, control, and restoration of a distribution system with nominal operating voltages from 2.4KV to 38KV.
