Examination on the Relationship between Industrial Development and Energy Consumption in Construction

摘要
The development of construction brings about great energy consumption. In order to indentify the relationship between energy consumption and industrial development in construction, this paper presents the designing of a coordinated development model. The focus is on how to integrate industrial development indices and energy consumption indices to determine coordinated development indices in a relevant and useful manner for decision-making. The model is applied to two big cities in China to examine the relationship. The results show as follows: 1) Construction development is experiencing the transition from industrial development hysteresis to energy consumption hysteresis; 2) There exists different coordinated development degree in construction between the cities.
