A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTSMANSHIP IN SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN

摘要
The aims of the present study were to carry out a systematic review on the research that carried out some intervention to promote sportsmanship in boys and girls, as well as to describe and analyze them. The PRISMA Declaration guidelines were followed in order to carry out a systematic review, which was conducted in four databases (SportDiscuss, Scopus, Web of Science and Pubmed). Seventy-seven studies were identified, with a further eight located in the references of other papers. Finally, only 6 manuscripts met the eligibility criteria. The results provide scientific evidence that justifies the use of Hellison's Personal and Social Responsibility Teaching Model or Program (PSRTM) and Siedentop's Sports Education (SE) Model when developing and promoting sportsmanship in school-aged boys and girls.
