摘要
Web accessibility has already been thoroughly addressed. W3C published standards (WCAG 2.0) which guide developers in creating accessible Web sites. Recent advancements in technologies and platforms include IPTV and mobile devices. Now, the same content and services are available on various devices in parallel. With that in mind, our main goal is to revaluate accessibility design approaches that focus on Web browsing on a PC, to identify and address possible new ICT accessibility barriers, and to identify other standards and recommendations that could help develop accessible content on multi-device systems. In this paper we analyze the options provided to developers of accessible multi-device and multi-platform systems. We evaluate the role of WCAG in the field of IPTV and mobile. In order to ensure mobile accessibility of applications and Web content, we concluded that benefits can be drawn from Mobile Web Best Practices (MWBP), Mobile Web Application Best Practices (MWABP) and Widget Requirements. For IPTV platforms, specific standards or recommendations do not exist, therefore guidelines from Web and mobile domains have to be observed and adjusted according to platform specifics.
